Junction Place Sports and Christian Brothers Lower School have again agreed to a partnership in which Junction Place Sports will provide after-school sports programming at Christian Brothers Lower School. Sessions will be broken into (6)- week periods of once a week instruction and game-play in specific sports for Pre-K- 2nd Grade students. For the 2019-2020 School Year we will offer (5) dynamic programs on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Programs meet on either Tuesday or Thursday (you choose whatever day works best for your family) afternoons from 3:30-4:30 PM. Junction Place Sports Staff, with the aid of the Christian Brothers Faculty, will transport and be in care of participants from school dismissal to the play space and will continue to provide care and coaching until parents sign-out at the time of program dismissal (4:30-4:40 PM). This means parents/guardians are not responsible for picking up or providing care for participants until after 4:30.
Participants will be grouped according to grade (Pre-K and K & 1st and 2nd). Registration options include 2019-2020 Full Year Sports Pass ( $335 price point giving you access to all sessions offered during the school year) as well as the ability to register for individual classes ($85 for all except a 3-session Sports Hour class in May which will cost $45).
Baseball Basics Clinic is an age appropriate approach to learning the fundamentals of baseball/softball/t-ball. Individual skill development is the primary focus of curriculum with a goal of preparing young players to best participate in game play in rec or travel leagues
Sports Hour- is a high energy class that is sure to have your little ones come home nice and tired! At its core, it is a motor skill development/ functional movement class that also incorporates game play in a variety of sports and activities. This once a week class is designed to benefit participants of all experience and ability levels. The focus on individual development will occur in the first half of each class before ending each session with fun games to help reinforce the idea of team work and sportsmanship. This structure encourages the development of simple and fun "routines" while also creating exciting challenges and learning opportunities as we explore new sports and games.

BUILDING BLOCKS- OUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS!
Our approach to early childhood and elementary age sports education is simple: provide a foundation based on the basic elements of the subject matter and don't put a cap on the results!
Leading young people doesn't require personal accolades or success of the instructor in the given subject matter. Young people have a zest for knowledge and experience, what "you did" probably occurred before they were born so it's really insignificant to their perspective. What does matter in the mind of a young person is can you relate? Can you inspire? Can you communicate on a level that THEY can understand? At Junction Place Sports, our staff is provided a curriculum, better yet a language, that ensures just that! While communication with parents/guardians is of the utmost importance to our organizational principals, our aim is to have YOUR child be able to explain to you what they learned and love about Basketball Basics and Simply Soccer!
We provide clear and pointed adult based information- the "who/what/where/when's". What we don't do is force a narrative of what your child did or how they felt about it in a "copy and paste" email/text format that has become common place today. That's not the job of an instructor of young people. We aim to have your child fill in the blanks to whatever questions you may have! Our instruction is repetitive, like, really repetitive, as in, we say the same phrases over and over and over and over again- something we are sure you can understand. We don't back away from that approach. It works.
Here is what you can expect when you provide your child the experience of Junction Place Sports' Basketball Basic or Simply Soccer Programs:
